5 QUESTIONS IN 5 MINUTES: VIET N'GUYEN
Issa PR is a luxury boutique brand strategy and public relations agency representing fashion, art, culture, and music. We caught up with founder and Thompson Square Studios member, Viet N'Guyen on her day to day at the club in the world of Issa PR.
1. What do you like most about working at Thompson Square Studios?
I love working at Thompson Square Studios, as it's a beautiful and serene work space with private telephone booths and an intimate cinema for screenings (or documentary previews). The New York office is in the heart of SoHo, so it's perfect to get around Manhattan.
2. What made you want to start your own business?
There was a gap in the market for a specialist luxury (and lifestyle) agency with a focus on social good and philanthropy. So I decided to set up Issa PR - since inception we've worked with Vogue Italia, Absolut, Def Jam, Davidoff Cool Water and many others.
3. What does a day in the life look like?
In PR, every day is different. One day we could be working on a shoot with a fashion magazine. The next day running a press conference or press junket with a celebrity. We're often planning strategy and launches for new clients, and how to roll that across the world.
4. Early Bird or Night Owl?
Both. It's great to hit power vinyasa in the morning but I'm definitely a night owl. That's when all the events, parties and premieres take place.
5. What do you want to accomplish by the end of the year?
We just opened our London office, which is exciting as I'm British so it's lovely to be back. We want to keep growing and doing inspirational work for our clients. We may think about Paris next.
